And well, I was a little surprised at how the story was. And at the same time quite bored with it.
It is about a man who was raised by wolves, at the various stages of his life. With various people. And they are the ones who are narrating him, which makes him this mysterious person, whom we get to see but almost never understand. That was intriguing at first, but eventually it just made me lose all interest.
Since I don’t really know much about Weylyen, and yet he isn’t the more enticing character either. He lacks something which makes me like him, or think of him as the character.
And since it is centered around him it just became hard to read through it.
The writing however, was incredibly well done. Feeling real, and able to see what it was all about. Without ever feeling that it was poorly done.
Overall, it just wasn’t for me. I didn’t find Weylyen charming enough to like the story at all. There were plenty of good moments, and the plot was subtle, but pretty okay.
